David W. Orlowski was born in Mattituck, New York in 1964. He attended Wake Forest University as a Guy T. Carswll Scholar and graduated cum laude in 1987. While attending Wake Forest University, Mr. Orlowski, was a member of The Varsity Tennis Team his junior and senior years, and was selected to The All-ACC Honor Roll for each year. He was a member of and served as the Vice-President of Phi Delta Phi. He received his J.D. from The University of Georgia School of Law in 1991. Mr. Orlowski joined the firm of Lee Durham, LLC in April 2004. He had previously been a partner with Hodges, Erwin, Hedrick & Coleman, LLP, where workers compensation and insurance defense were his primary focus. He subsequently served as Vice-President of the legal department and in-house counsel for Heritage Bank of the South.
Mr. Orlowski is a member of the Dougherty Circuit and the State Bar of Georgia, including the Banking, Bankruptcy and Workers compensation sections.
Mr. Orlowski practices primarily in the areas of workers’ compensation, banking and corporate law, creditor representation in bankruptcy matters, corporation formation and governance, business litigation, real estate and commercial transactions.
Mr. Orlowski is active in his church, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, serving as Chancellor and Finance Chairman. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Easter Seals Southern Georgia, where he served as President two separate terms. Mr. Orlowski is a Class E State certified soccer coach, and is currently on the coaching staff of South Georgia United Travel Soccer Club. He has also served as adjunct professor at Darton College.
